An Important Update Regarding Kuikahi Village

2023 is rolling along—and so is the long approvals process for our next workforce housing project here on Maui!

Kuikahi Village, Maui's soon-to-be 100% workforce housing neighborhood, has been making progress and gathering momentum towards eventually getting shovels in the ground. In this blog, we'll provide you with an update on the development process and how you can prepare to become a future homeowner in the new neighborhood.

Alaula is pleased to announce that we are currently in the final stages of the entitlement process with the Maui County Council to bring Kuikahi Village to fruition. Once this is complete we will move on to the permitting and construction phase of the project, which will allow us to engage prospective buyers and begin the process of bringing these high-quality, affordable homes to Maui families.

We hope to begin accepting applications for Kuikahi Village this summer and hold our housing lottery later on this year. In the coming months, we will send out advance notice detailing what to expect and what steps you need to take to be ready to apply—and want to ensure that everyone on our mailing list has the information they need to apply and participate in the lottery process, so be sure to sign up for all the latest updates!

As things progress, we also encourage you to visit our Homebuyer Resources Page and sign up for Hawaiian Community Assets' Financial Opportunity Center to access to all their outstanding programs. These invaluable resources will provide you with information and guidance to help you prepare for homeownership and make the most of the opportunities soon to be coming your way.

Alaula is committed to helping the working families of Maui to become homeowners. We understand that the cost of living on the island can be a true barrier, which is why we've made it our mission to create affordable, high-quality housing options for our community. By providing 100% workforce housing, we're ensuring that local families have the opportunity to own a piece of Maui and invest in their future here on the island.

We're excited to be making progress on this project and look forward to welcoming our first residents in the coming future. If you're interested in learning more about Kuikahi Village and how to prepare for the application process, we encourage you to join our mailing list and stay up-to-date on the latest developments.

Mahalo nui loa for your continued interest in the Valley Isle’s newest workforce housing neighborhood. Together, we can make owning a home on the island a reality for more families.
